Learn about the different designs :

Tapa 1

Based on Tongan Tapa cloth this pattern shows flowers and line motifs common from this Island group

Tapa 3

Samoan influence is seen here. The crossed clubs relate to the strong martial element in tradition and culture. Sharks teeth are a symbol of power and another reminder of risks when surrounded by the sea. The flowers and seed pods give balance and a central focus.

Brown Tapa

Concieved by Natalie Couch, this pattern is typical of Pasifika style. Strong, definitive lines that fit in almost any environment.

Koru

Using a strong New Zealand theme of the Koru - the unfolding life force as seen in fern fronds of the fibonachi curve, a blue background represents the sky and sea that are typical of New Zealand.

New designs are being developed and will be published soon !
