Born in the Waikato in 1972, Teresa graduated with a Diploma of Design, majoring in Illustration, from the Waikato Institute of Technology in 1995. Painting fulltime since 2004 Teresa has now settled in Northland with her partner.

She draws inspiration from her life and passions, one of which is to create things.

Her works are primarily instinctively based. Often developed from an inner feeling and regularly reflecting her dreams and desires.

Working in mixed media she experiments with layering and textural techniques to develop works which evoke mystery, memories and beauty.

Teresa prefers to allow the viewer to seek their own understanding of her works. She is always intrigued by the conclusions her audiences come to; often which reflect fragments of her own view.

Teresa has exhibited in numerous successfull group and solo exhibitions throughout New Zealand.

Her works are held in collections around the world.

When she's not painting Teresa enjoys tending to her lifestyle block and live stock. She also helps her partner with his developing bee keeping business, helping him work the bees in the field.

Teresa loves to garden and is always amazed and inspired by the beauty of nature.
